Trinkgeld (Tips)

I like working as a waitress in a restaurant.

It is a valuable chance to observe different kinds of person. From their outlook, use of words and manner, I could always learn a lot of stuff.

Well, as I am saving money for my White Christmas, I had a part-time job. And in certain kind of restaurants, the waiters/waitress would usually not be able to receive the service charge.

Here is the story:

A German old couple talked to me when I made the order. They asked for my reason(s) coming to Germany and the plan in the future. They also provided some advices to me.

It is just a normal chat. But when they left, they come straightly to me and gave me two coins.

This is the tips they used to give the restaurant.

When one asks, how could you survive in Germany for that long period of time. I could provide lots of similar stories.

They are the reason I could keep my passion.

*P. S. When you dine in some restaurants, the one who serves you did not give you the bill and charge you. If you appreciate his/her service, please consider seriously to keep the service charge first and give the waiter/waitress later privately.

They deserve it.
